As with any other civilized country, you must have a Visa before you can gain entry into Qatar.
Ways to get a Qatar Visa in Nigeria
First of all, as a Nigerian, you must have a sponsor who is based in Qatar or better still, lives in Qatar to get a Visa. To obtain a Qatar Visa in Nigeria, you can use any of the following ways below:
1. Via Qatar Airways
If you want to travel using Qatar Airways, you can contact the Airline management to assist you in arranging a Visa for you.
2. Via Qatar Embassy
You can get a Visa for Qatar by visiting the Qatar Embassy in Nigeria where you can submit an application for your Visa.
3. Through Travel Agents
You can also get help from travel agents for your Visa applications as they can act as your sponsors. Although this method to get a Qatar Visa is risky, be sure that the agents are trust worthy before you use them as your sponsor.
4. Via Qatar Hotels
If you intend to travel to Qatar, you could look up for hotels in Qatar and book for a place to stay ahead of time. There are some of the hotels in Qatar that offer assistance with Visa. You could make inquiries for that purpose from the hotel you want to lodge in.
5. Through Friends and Family
This method of obtaining visa is more safer than through travel agents. Do you have friends or family living in Qatar? Then you are lucky as they can assist by sponsoring your Visa application.
Documents Required for Visa Application
The following documents are required for processing your Qatar Visa along with your application:
- A 2” by 2” colored passport sized photograph.
- A valid international passport, with a validity not less than six months from the applicants intended stay at Qatar. The passport should also have pages available for placement of the Visa.
- An invitation letter in case of tourist Visa or a Company letter in case of Business Visa must accompany the Visa application, with a detailed explanation on the purpose of your visit.
- Photocopies of the information page of your international passport.
Please note that the Visa processing should take up to 12 business days for a tourist Visa and would take up up to a month for a working Visa.
