Who Will Be The 2015 BBC African Footballer of the Year ?

The 2015 BBC African Footballer of the year award is here again but the question is who will be the lucky African footballer that will win the prestigious award?

Last year 2014, it was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, from Gabon who plies his trade for the German outfit, Borussia Dortmund. The Gabon born striker was in form for both club and country, which saw his country qualify for the African Nations Cup and his club reach second in the German’s Bundesliga.

This year 2015, the shortlist of the BBC African Footballer of the year was announced and saw the likes of Ayew, Yaya Toure of Manchester City, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and co making the list.

The Short List for 2015 African Footballer Of The Year are:

1. Yacine Brahimi from Algeria, plays for Port Fc in Portugal

2. Yaya Toure  from Ivory Coast plays for Manchester City in England

3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Gabon plays for Borusia Dortmund in Germany

4. Sadio Mane from senegal plays for Southampton in England

5. Andre Ayew from Ghana plays for Swansea City in England.


The shortlist for the BBC African footballer for the year 2015 as it where,  was actually compiled by a panel of sports journalists from 46 African countries and the winner, which will be decided by a public vote that would be announced on 11th December 2015.
